Weddings vows are words that manifest your choice of being committed to your partner. It is a promise between the couple with God,families, relatives and friends as witnesses. In wedding vows, couples are given the chance to speak and make promise to love each other.

Although many couples find it hard to write wedding vows, there is only one way to write it and that is writing it from the heart. Since they are personal vows, they should reflect the true feelings of the couple.

In writing your wedding vows, just ask yourself, how did your life change because of your partner? Just list down all you can think of.

Remember the moment you realized that this is the person whom you want to marry. Ask yourself what about this person that made you decide to marry him or her. List all of the reasons you can think of.

Finally, think about what you want to promise your partner. The traditional vow is that you promise to love and cherish your partner. You may add that you promise to be your partner’s best friend forever or you promise to be loyal forever. This will not be hard if you are writing from your heart.

If you cannot write wedding vows from scratch, you can start with the traditional wedding vow and then add or change things. You can also look at others’ wedding vows so you can have ideas.

Just remember not to copy them. Wedding vows are your own personal promise and so it should be unique. Always make sure that everything you put in your wedding vows are true and coming from your heart.
