A ballroom or reception area is the usual venue for most weddings. It is enclosed within 4 walls and the space is limited. An outdoor wedding is one alternative to this. An outdoor wedding can make the event a little more special because the venue spells a lot of difference in the ambiance of the occasion. Aside from that, renting a ballroom or reception area costs a lot of money.
Couples who have just bought a house and wanted to save for the renovation or improvement of the house can choose their own backyard for their wedding. This is feasible if you have a large backyard or if there are only a few guests. If your backyard cannot accommodate all your guests, look around. Or you can choose to have a very casual wedding where all your guests are standing. There is only the water, the beach, and your wedding ceremony. For the reception, you can just head to a nearby restaurant or better yet, have a buffet at the beach.
If you’re a nature lover, you can have an outdoor wedding at a natural park. There are thousands of parks that accommodate outdoor wedding. Imagine being married among the canopy of trees and the humming of the birds. When you choose an outdoor wedding at a park, you don’t need any decoration. Nature is your wedding’s décor. Just consider the insects and bugs that may make your guests uncomfortable. You can either ask your guests to apply insect repellant lotion or you can have the place fumigated before your wedding to ward off the insects.
There are many more options for an outdoor wedding. They are cheaper and they give a different ambiance compared to an indoor wedding. When you’re having an outdoor wedding, just always consider the weather. Have a contingency plan if ever it rains during your wedding.
