Naming your wedding tables is one good idea that will make your wedding reception extra special. Sure, having Table 1, 2, 3 and so on will make it easier to find tables but naming the tables with the places that are meaningful to the groom and bride will make the reception even more memorable not only for the couple but also for the guests.
This is not a new idea. I have attended a lot of weddings that have particular names instead of just plain numbers for their wedding tables. There is one couple who name the tables from the movies that they both love. I sat in the “Sleepless in Seattle” table.
Another couple named their tables after their favorite TV series and another couple named their tables with the countries that they want to visit together in the future. I remember I was placed in the British Virgin Island in their ceremony.
One couple who loved their vacation in Paris so much named their tables after the names of the streets in Paris. They have pictures of street signs on top of their tables. There are actually directions for the streets all over the reception area so the guests enjoyed looking for their tables.
Naming your wedding tables with words that you associate with your relationship will give your reception that added character. The name of the table will be good conversation starters for your guests especially those guests who don’t know each other and are sitting in one table. There is no limit to the ideas that you can come up with when it comes to the names of the table. This will an additional for the hundreds of reasons why your wedding is something to be excited about.
