Planning a Wedding on a Small Budget

With large companies closing down and employees getting laid off left and right, planning a wedding on a small budget is the best and maybe the only way you can have a wedding. Even if you have huge savings in our bank accounts and even if your parents are willing to help you with the financial aspect of your wedding, getting marriage with a small budget will help you a lot when you are living together as husband and wife.

The wedding is not the only thing that you have to spend on. You should also prepare for the next day and the next weeks and months after your wedding. With jobs becoming more and more unstable as the weeks pass, it is a good idea to save as much as we can on our wedding so that whatever happens, we still have enough money to live by after marriage if ever recession hits. I pray that I won’t it will not hurt when that happens.

Planning a wedding on a small budget is all about DIY (do-it-yourself) — DIY wedding invitations, DIY wedding flower arrangements, DIY wedding pictures, DIY wedding reception decorations, DIY wedding favors. It may eat up a lot of your time but it can save you thousands of dollars.

You don’t actually have to do them by yourself. Ask other people for help. Ask your friends. You have siblings and cousins and older nephews or nieces. Instead of asking for wedding gifts, why not just ask them to help you with the planning a wedding on a small budget?

Remember that even though the wedding is a special day, the days that will come after your wedding day are also important. Make your wedding day special but don’t forget to make the days after your marriage count too because marriage doesn’t end with the wedding. It actually starts there and you have a lifetime to work on your marriage, including the financial aspect of it.
